The original OVERDUE

The original OVERDUE (viewable via Publication) was a single page, poster-style, photo-art publication. It was published monthly between January 2011 and December 2012 by publisher, photographer, and editorial director Tazuko ("Tazzy") Miyamoto. The OVERDUE publication was printed in color on both sides of A2-size recycled paper. (Actual size: 42 x 59.4 cm. )

OVERDUE was called OVERDUE because it was about time something like it was published. Its appeal was amazing. Clearly it had been overdue!

The contents of each issue consisted of a short story (a "blurb") written by Yuri, residing in San Francisco, and photographs of Japan and San Francisco taken by Tazzy Miyamoto.

The photos and short stories were visually arranged into composite images. In these images, viewers saw, found something new, transitory, a reflection all their own. Not unlike commercial art, OVERDUE flies around the world. Yeah!
